Central European Cup cancelled due to Prague COVID-19 flare-up

The 2020 Central European Cup, which was to be held in Prague from September 24-27 has been cancelled due to a deteriorating COVID-19 situation in the city, it was announced by Czech Cricket yesterday.

Czech Republic were to host Austria, Belgium, Hungary, Luxembourg and Malta, with teams to be split into two groups of three for a single round-robin, before moving into the knock-out out phase of the T20 event.

Poland won the inaugural 50-over Central European Cup in 2014, finishing ahead of Switzerland, Czech Republic and Luxembourg.
