ICC Men’s and Women’s pathway events will take a different turn from 2027 with the ICC today (Tuesday) releasing an invitation to tender (ITT) for their production.

The package covers almost 20 events and 300 matches, in large part Women’s and Men’s T20 World Cup qualifying events.

Matches will be streamed across ICC digital platforms, including ICC.tv, as well as on the platforms of ICC Pathway Licensees, in a similar vein to the current contract.

“These are exciting times for ICC Pathway Events, which are crucial to our vision of growing and developing cricket around the world,” ICC Chief Commercial Officer Anurag Dahiya said in the governing body’s media release.

“Cricket is now being played competitively in more countries than at any point in its history, and these events are where that growth is most visible.

“Across Africa, the Americas, Asia, East Asia-Pacific and Europe, emerging teams have the opportunity to compete, test themselves, and earn a place at our global events.

“The year ahead promises plenty of exciting cricket and a chance to showcase promising talent from every region. It is also an opportunity to engage passionate fans in established and new cricket markets alike, all eager to see players from their own countries make their mark on the international stage.”
