Former U19 Vanuatu captain Bethan Moli is on a quest to become a part of the senior international team, and it could be his input in the Sharks’ campaign that will get him on the plane for T20I and Challenge League action coming up.
Number three for the Sharks, Moli is a busy player who churns out runs through energy between the wickets and occasional lofted hitting to the leg-side.
Looking more suited to the longer game, Moli is adapting to the game’s shortest format, and has grown in confidence as the tournament has gone on. Coming into the final two weekends, and with the Sharks sitting precariously in the middle of the three teams, it could be his anchoring role that puts up the defendable targets needed to win the all-important remaining matches.
Moli can also take the gloves if Jamal Vira is unable to keep wicket, doing so at Under 19 international level.
