The Luxembourg Cricket Federation has announced its intention to host a T20I tri-series against Belgium and the Czech Republic in August.
In an announcement made via the Luxembourg Cricket Federation Facebook page, the federation announced its plans to host Belgium and the Czech Republic in the “Luxembourg T20I Trophy” from the 28th to the 30th of August, subject to the relevant COVID-19 restrictions.
The series marks the first fixtures to be scheduled between Associate nations since the COVID-19 outbreak, following significant disruption to the cricket calendar from the pandemic.
Following the ICC’s decision to provide T20 international status to all members as of January 2019, the Luxembourg T20I Trophy will be the first T20Is to be held in Luxembourg. All matches will be hosted at the Pierre Werner Cricket Ground in Walferdange.
Further details, including fixtures, are to follow shortly.
