Ali Khan was the only Associate player in action today in CPL, and he wasn’t in the action for long. After bowling the first over conceding six runs and looking dangerous swinging the ball away, Ali left after two balls in the second over. At one point reaching behind himself and touching his lower back, Ali walked off somewhat stiff, as the comms crew opined a lower back injury. He did not return to the action.

TKR has looked very strong this CPL season, and it’s difficult to argue that they aren’t the favourite. Surely much of their success is due to their power play bowling, which has put them on the right foot in nearly every game. There’s no question they’re a stronger team with Ali in the lineup, so they’ll be hoping for the best.
