Our growing family; a passionate volunteer community of contributors, ambassadors and patrons help shine a light on the inspiring stories from Associate cricket and beyond.

We pride ourselves on providing responsible reporting and informed opinion on the issues affecting the game outside its traditional centres.

We also partner with cricket boards and other like-minded organisations to help enhance development efforts.

How it started

In late 2018, former Cricket Hong Kong CEO Tim Cutler added Daniel Beswick and Nick Skinner into a Whatsapp chat group with a vision to change the way that the game beyond the Full Members was projected to the world. And the rest, as they say, is history.

World Cricket League Division 2 was hosted in Namibia during April 2019 and this was the first tournament we officially covered. As the only agency reporting on the event from each of the three venues concurrently, we provided live blogs, interviews, reports and commentary for live streams.

In the time since, the extended EC family has grown to three dozen, with more than half being regular contributors across writing, editing, social media and more.

While some other agencies have slowed down during lock-down period EC team’s output has increased, thanks to more passionate volunteers joining every month.

We have partnered with the ICC to create a weekly #GlobalGame column every Monday covering the week that was in the Associate world. This is shared with the ICC’s 30 million plus social audience!

Our podcast launched in late 2018 with a series of interviews from the T20 World Cup Qualifier in the Philippines. Indicative of our commitment, we were the only overseas media at the event. Every week Bes, Tim and Nick discuss the news and events, featuring frequent special guests, from around the emerging cricket world.
