The heavens opened with Hong Kong 170/7 after 45.3 overs against Italy and Bermuda 230/7 after 46.4 vs Kenya. A long three hour wait to try to play the required 20 overs in the second innings proved vain with the umpires declaring both games abandoned at 15.40 local time.
