Only a week after the UAE had its fourth player stood down after anti-corruption charges, Shakib Al Hasan – the world number one ranked all-rounder in ODIs – has been banned from all cricket from two years, with one year of that suspended, it was announced by the ICC today.
Shakib Al Hasan accepted three charges of breaching the ICC Anti-Corruption Code. The charges are as follows:
