After completing the first phase of a national training camp on Friday, the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) announced that it would push ahead with the second phase despite the upcoming Cricket World Cup (CWC) League 2 series against Oman and the USA being postponed due to COVID-19.

Among the 32 players, 21 players comprised of potential debutants and those making a come back reported to the first phase of the camp. Of the 21, nine were selected to take part in the second phase of the camp, alongside eleven established internationals.

After the postponement of Nepal’s bilateral T20I series against Qatar in February and the ICC CWC League 2 series in March, the next international series scheduled for Nepal in the CWC League 2 fixture is in July 2021, when the team travels to Scotland to play the hosts and Namibia.
