Sandeep moves to Barbados with a 1,300 percent pay increase

Fresh from his second IPL for Delhi, Nepalese legspinner Sandeep Lamichhane has been drafted by the Barbados Tridents for season seven of the Caribbean Premier League in London today.

After being was drafted in round five and attracting a fee of $70,000, he was quick to take to Twitter to celebrate.

Lamichhane represented St Kitts & Nevis Patriots in 2018. He had been drafted in round 13 for $5,000.

He had been retained by the Delhi Capitals for the recent IPL for 2 lakh Rupee (~US$28,700).

England top order batter Alex Hales was the Tridents’ first round pick.
