Nepal selects 22 for closed men’s training camp

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) is set to commence its men’s closed camp following all the health guidelines and protocols issued by the government of Nepal.

Twenty-two cricketers and former coach Jagat Tamata have been called up by CAN to test for COVID-19 before taking part in the closed camp, the first time Nepalese cricketers will be together under structured training conditions since the coronavirus pandemic hit the world.

The squad selected: Gyanendra Malla (C), Dipendra Singh Airee (VC), Paras Khadka, Sandeep Lamichhane, Sharad Veshawkar, Karan K.C., Basanta Regmi, Binod Bhandari, Sompal Kami, Sushan Bhari, Lalit Rajbanshi, Mohammad Aarif Sheikh, Pawan Sarraf, Avinash Bohra, Subash Khakurel, Rohit Kumar Paudel, Kushal Malla, Rashid Khan, Kamal Singh Airee, Sundeep Zora, Kishor Mahato, and Bhuwan Karki.

According to CAN, the cricketers will be tested for Covid-19 on the 23rd of November and only the players who return a negative test will be included for the closed camp that will commence from the 25th of November.
