Namibia completed a clean sweep of the T20 series against Uganda, scoring two comprehensive victories in the double header yesterday. The visitors claimed a 20-run win in the morning before completely dominating the afternoon game with a comprehensive 56-run win.
In the morning, Namibia won the toss and chose to bat first but an inspired Ugandan bowling attack reduced the hosts to 12/3 inside 5 overs. JJ Smit (40) and Michiel du Preez (33) repaired the damage to help their team post a competitive 134/6 in their 20 overs.
In the chase Uganda lost their bearings early in as they were reduced to 16/4 in 5 overs. Kenneth Waiswa (33) and Ronak Patel (19 not out) moved the score to 65/5 by the time the heavens opened. With no more time to complete the second innings Namibia scored a comfortable win on Duckworth-Lewis.
In the afternoon, Namibia won the toss and scored a mammoth 189/5. Craig Williams (81) scored a fluent and commanding half century. JJ Smit was once again at his destructive best, scoring 35 off 13 balls, to take the Namibians to the biggest total of the series.
Uganda never got going and only captain Arnold Otwani (23) and Riazat Ali Shah (33) scored runs, to add respectability to the Cricket Cranes’ chase. The loss of Riazat signalled the end was near as they rest of the team could only manage 124 all out in 19 overs giving the hosts a 65 run win.
The two wins from today mean the Eagles complete a clean sweep of the T20 series. The wins should also help Namibia improve their ICC T20 rankings.Both sides will turn their focus to the 50-over component of the tour, beginning Wednesday.

I enjoyed watching the live streams of the games: thank you for providing a link to this. Whilst Namibia are the stronger team, I was impressed with Uganda's talent, particularly in the bowling. This series will be a good learning curve for them.
